#938 be nice

22 Aug

nice: pleasing, agreeable, delightful; kind; carefully neat in dress, habits.

I chose those 3 definitions out of the 15 listed on dictionary.com (three of which are now obsolete). Sometimes being mean is easier than being nice. That doesn’t make it okay. Think about it: you’re in a bad mood, then you’re mean to someone- do you think they will be nice to you? No, so now you are stuck in this cycle of unhappiness. Being nice can pull you out of a bad mood, I promise! There are various ways to be nice (some of which I have already blogged about):

  • smile
  • ask how someone is doing
  • let someone go in front of you in a line
  • compliment someone
  • tell someone you love them
  • use your manners
  • donate money or your time to a charity or an organization

There are definitely more ways, but I feel those are the easiest. 🙂 Until tomorrow..

“It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. ”

“Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are.”
